Q-and-A on the nature of mission and Russian Orthodoxy in Wales, 20th January in Cardiff

Following a Hierarchical Liturgy in Cardiff on Saturday, 20th January, His Grace Bishop Irenei will lead a talk and Question-and-Answer session on mission and Russian Orthodoxy in Wales, at the new location of our Cardiff parish of the Kazan Icon of the Theotokos.

Discussion will focus on the witness of Orthodoxy in the British Isles generally, and in Wales more specifically, and will centre on practical aspects of our work as a Church to present the Gospel — through our words and our lives — to a land that once was a capital of Orthodoxy, and now awaits receiving it in its fulness anew, in wider measure.

The schedule of services for His Grace's visit to Cardiff is as follows:

  • 10.45 a.m. - Greeting of the Bishop
  • 11.00 a.m. - Hierarchical Divine Liturgy
  • 1.30 p.m. (approx.) - Luncheon, with talk and Q-and-A with Bishop Irenei

All are welcome to attend both the Divine Service, as well as the meal and discussion. For practical queries, please contact the rector of the parish, Hieromonk Mark (Underwood).
